"You hit like a girl," the strong female character says
"Stop being such a girl," the strong female character says
"Man up," the strong female character says
"Shut the fuck up," I whisper
#stop using my gender as an insult
Disclaimer: Yes, I am aware that this is all just fiction. No, the point of this isn’t to change your mind and make you love Rachel. The point is that I’m so tired to explain in bits and pieces why I like Rachel, and this is just how I see her character. I’m not claiming that I’m right about any of this, these are not facts, this is just my point of view, which could be quite different from your point of view but I don’t wanna argue about it. You asked for my opinion and this is my opinion and that’s that.
(under the cut cause it’s 2k words and if you’re ready to read that go right ahead)
no but after seeing this post i’m like super into the idea of Cosima’s parents being not white, or at least her mother. and Cosima doesn’t really see anything wrong/different about that doesn’t care but then one day her mom drops her off at school and kids see and they start teasing her because she doesn’t look like her mom so she’s probably adopted
and Cosima comes home, crying, and her mom asks what’s wrong so Cosima asks if she’s adopted, and her mom is like, “no, of course not, why would you ask that?” so she tells her mom what the kids at school were saying and asks, “if I’m not adopted, how come we don’t look alike?”
and then her mom thinks about it for a moment, and then decides to explain (plainly enough for a child to understand, but still some explanation) that she and her dad couldn’t have kids together and they were really sad about it so they were made an offer for an in vitro fertilization and they could raise the kid however they want and Cosima’s like really interested in how it happened and stuff and starts asking questions about it and maybe that’s sort of what gets her into science. She thinks it’s so cool that science was able to let her parents have her, and even though she doesn’t have her parents genes they’re still alike so she gets really interested in genetics and nature vs nurture because of that and yeah
the US is unreal like girls cant wear shorts to school, you can literally lose your job for being gay, and unarmed black children are brutally murdered on the regular but old white ppl r still like “what a beautiful country. i can freely carry a gun for no reason and some of our mountains look like presidents. god bless”
This blog has grown into nothing but fandom (although when/what’s to blame idk….*cough cough* clonepocalypse), and i often feel uncomfortable posting gory horror stuff since it feels out of the blue and i worry it might be triggering to fandom followers (although i do tag my gory stuff), sooo I’ve set up an additional new blog where I can post appreciation for horror films as well as other interests that i don’t have space for on this blog (music, especially punk, more weed, etc)- I’ve flagged the blog as adult- oriented because I plan on posting gory stuff (and also because it will probably end up containing nudity/a bit of porn)-
this blog is punkybunny.tumblr.com
I’m still getting it up and running and pretty but just wanted to let you guys who follow me for non-fandom reasons who are sick of Orphan Black (to which I say: watch it) and tv allllll the time.
